The back carries a large vintage postage stamp graphic depicting the route of the Dandi March, the 240-mile path walked by Mahatma Gandhi and the 78 followers from Sabarmati Ashram to the coastal village of Dandi in 1930. 

The Dandi March route on the back traces one of the most consequential journeys in Indian history. On March 12, 1930, Gandhi set out on foot with 78 followers. By the time he reached Dandi 24 days later, thousands of Indians had joined the act of civil disobedience against the British Salt Tax. The route was not simply a path from one village to another. It was the spine of a movement that would accelerate the end of British rule in India. The vintage stamp format frames this journey as something worth preserving and sending forward across time.
